Skills Support for Redundancy (SSR)

The SSR service provides information, advice and guidance to companies and individuals, based in Norfolk & Suffolk, affected by redundancy and offers the opportunity for staff – and those already made redundant – to re-skill and help them to find new employment or prepare for a new career after redundancy.

Our service consists of individual sessions of skills assessment and career planning, during which staff will be able to discuss their current position and develop a plan to take the next steps in looking for a new career.

This support can be delivered in work or at a place outside work.

Once a need/wish for training has been identified, we will provide you with impartial advice on a range of training courses available that suit your needs (level of training; length and location). All training will be free of charge and can comprise Jobsearch skills (including interview skills and CV writing), functional skills training in English, Maths or ICT, as well as vocational courses that will help you secure employment.
