Skills Funding Agency
The Skills Funding Agency is part of the government’s Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Their main role is to fund and regulate adult further education and training in England:

"Our mission is to ensure that people and businesses can access the skills training they need to succeed in playing their part in society and in growing England’s economy...The skills training we fund enables people to do their jobs better, get new jobs, or progress in their careers

The Skills Funding Agency assigns funding to colleges and private training companies, such as Steadfast Training, who then utilise these contracts to provide training according to the needs of local businesses and communities (for more information on the Skills Funding Agency visit www.skillsfundingagency.bis.gov.uk).

What do we do for you?
At Steadfast Training Ltd, we will ensure you receive the most relevant training to help your business. We hold direct contracts with the Skills Funding Agency which means that, subject to eligibility, we can often provide training to your staff at no cost to you or your business. We keep up to date with the latest Skills Funding Agency funding guidance, the National Apprenticeship Service and other core funding routes to ensure that we can provide you and your staff with as much training and development as possible.

Can I receive funding for existing staff?
We can provide you with funding to train your current employees. Apprenticeships are a great vocational training option that will ensure your existing employees helps improve productivity in the work place.

What will it cost me?
Although the qualifications are fully funded, you are responsible for paying the Apprentice’s wage. They will require a contract of employment and should be treated like every other member of staff in your business.

The minimum wage for an Apprentice is £2.73 an hour, however, we do encourage businesses to reward good performance via an increase in wages. If you wish to train an existing member of staff, their wage would remain the same.
